Reluctant Fools
Reluctant Fools is the first song on the record that I wrote during February Album Writing Month (FAWM) 2022. As a result, the editing process happened in a much shorter time period. It starts with these two lines I wrote on February 14, 2022 as part of another song that I didn't use:
The abyss can dance now
We're off for the night
The next day I wrote out the whole song. By this point in FAWM, I was a little bored of writing slow and/or sad songs so I was determined to write someting more upbeat.
Reluctant Fools demo.mp3After that I was ready to start recording. I was happy with the words and music and I didn't want to to overthink it. I will say that I'm proud of the guitar solo I came up with for this song.
