Big Bang is the first time I've ever collaborated with my partner, Ellie, on a song. She was determined to write some song lyrics for me. The only requirement is that the song had to be up-tempo. She sent me these words:

I used that as my starting point. Here's my first draft:

To a place safe and warm

I have run out of fuel and you pulled me in

This is the first time I've ever written a keyboard solo. I was also a little bored with writing guitar solos so I thought I'd stretch myself a bit. I'm a terrible keyboardist but this song is in C which means I could play all white keys.
