Big Bang

Big Bang is the first time I've ever collaborated with my partner, Ellie, on a song. She was determined to write some song lyrics for me. The only requirement is that the song had to be up-tempo. She sent me these words:

Mass, super

Your random fluctuations hit my heart

My star has run out of fuel

When you are near I collapse on myself

Let’s start a new

Big bang

You treat me as if I am hotter than the sun

I just want to be the center of your galaxy

Rotate back to my arms and center on my gravity

Let’s start a new

I used that as my starting point. Here's my first draft:

You are brighter than the next brightest start
After the sun goes down
Remember who you are

Your random energy has hit my heart
It collapses all around me
Let's make a new start

It'll be a big bang

Stardust across the universe
My star has run out of fuel
Your gravity is pulling me
To a place safe and warm

I have run out of fuel and you pulled me in
The center of my galaxy
A universe begins

This is the first time I've ever written a keyboard solo. I was also a little bored with writing guitar solos so I thought I'd stretch myself a bit. I'm a terrible keyboardist but this song is in C which means I could play all white keys.
