This song evolved over several years. The earliest demo I could find was from 2018 and it was a completely different song except for this kernel:

Then I came back to it a few years later and the song morphed into something closer to the final version:

Then the multi-track demos started:

I think I sang that into a hand-held SM-57. Finally in 2021 I re-wrote the song again with an arrangement that's much closer to the final version. Here's the intro:

I also started to play with changing the tempo during the chorus:

And finally, I added the outro that switches between 3/4 and 4/4 time:

In July 2022 I started over again with a faster tempo. And that's what became the version on the album.
